Join us for a special screening of the cult Horror film Cabin Fever, directed by Eli Roth and starring actor, Rider Strong (Paul), on hand for an intimate Q&A immediately following the film.
Cabin Fever:
Five college graduates rent a remote cabin in the woods where they fall victim to a horrifying flesh-eating virus that tests the limits of their friendship, and worse, attracts the unwanted attention of homicidal locals.
Rider Strong began performing in local theater at the tender age of five. His professional career has lasted two decades and spanned a variety of genres and formats. In his teens he became best known for his role of Shawn Hunter on Boy Meets World, a comedy-drama series which ran for seven seasons on ABC. Along with his brother, Shiloh Strong, Rider has written a graphic novel, Blood Merchant (to be released in 2012), and written and directed three short films that have played over 50 festivals worldwide, winning audience and juried awards at the Tribeca Film Festival, Sonoma International, Woods Hole, DC Shorts and the Action/Cut Film Competition. The Dungeon Master will screen at EMP's Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival on February 4, 2012 at Seattle's Cinerama Theater.
Currently on view at EMP: Can't Look Away: The Lure of Horror Film, which examines the pivotal role that Horror plays in the human experience. Three iconic horror directors—Roger Corman, John Landis, and Eli Roth—have curated a selection of their favorite films, providing a solid foundation on which audiences can safely explore the spectrum of cinematic horror, from its inception at the turn of the 20th century to the present day.
