Rodolfo Aguilar is Assistant Professor of Latin American/Latino Studies and American Studies at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Aguilar earned his B.A. in Latin American & Latino Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago and PhD in American Studies from the University of Minnesota. His research interests include Latina/o/x popular music, immigration, and Midwestern Latina/o/x communities. His essay on Chicagoland sonidos and the baile economy is scheduled for publication in Aztlan’s spring 2020 issue..
