The Sound of Foley

The hills are alive with the sounds of foley artists! Learn the art of sound design with professional soundscaper Phil Harmonic and bring to life a foley functional movie scene through observation, recording, ambient noise, and more.

Tickets for this special series include access to our exhibition Hidden Worlds: The Films of LAIKA.

Put your Proton Pack and ghostbusting ways aside (for now) in this beginner's guide to paranormal investigation. You’ll get the real deal facts and hands-on experience with the scientific equipment used in ghost hunting, featuring expert ghoul talker Dutch Jackson.

Bring That Beat Back

DJ Lady Love (Denise Briggs), one of the first female DJs in NYC, is coming back to MoPOP and turning up the volume on scratching skills, DJ personas, and skills you can use to start practicing at home. Beginners welcome.

MoPOP will provide controllers and DJ software for participants to share during the program. If you have your own tools feel free to bring them.

For The Stage...Thespians In the Making

Theatre superfan or just a stage you’re going through? Either way, come work with a professional actor from SeattleREP to pick apart a monologue, imagine the character it portrays, and learn how to perform it. Are you ready for your closeup?
