Gene Booth teaches middle school in Chicago. He drew the cover of Palace’s Arise Therefore album. He was Drag City’s first in-house publicity director. Gene has written reviews for the Village Voice and Slant magazine, and his improbable defense of The Who’s Face Dances was published in Lost in the Grooves (2005). He currently writes Marxist analyses of rock music for Dum Ditty Dum.
