Katie Beisel Hollenbach holds a PhD in Musicology from the University of Illinois. Her research focuses on popular music, technological mediation, and reception. Katie has presented her research at the Society for American Music and the Society for Cinema and Media Studies. Her work was recently published in the Journal of Popular Music Studies. Katie is currently the Assistant Director for Admissions, Recruitment, & Community Outreach at the University of Washington School of Music.
