Join us for our Sensory-Friendly Programs, an opportunity for adults and families to experience the museum with lowered volume and light levels. Sensory-Friendly Programs welcome anyone who can benefit from a low-sensory museum environment.

  • Free access when the museum is closed to the general public
  • Advanced notice of what to expect during your visit

Information about our upcoming Sensory-Friendly Events

  • Please note that guests ages three and up will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing from other parties
  • Due to a King County mandate, all guests 12 years and older will be required to show proof of full vaccination or a negative PCR COVID test taken within 72 hours prior to your visit.   • We’ll be sending guests a social story to help them learn more about our museum and what to expect at Sensory-Friendly Morning. We have some new routines and protocols that will be covered
  • We’ll send guests a map of the museum with updated exhibitions and closures
  • We’ll send guests a welcome sheet with the timeline for the day and current COVID-19 cleaning, staff, and guest protocols
